Thorsten Boeckers to lead K+S investor relations

Agricultural chemical producer names new head of IR, replacing Christian Herrmann

Thorsten Boeckers will join Europe’s largest potash producer as head of the investor relations team from Monday, December 3.

Boeckers has 10 years’ investor relations experience at Deutsche Post, followed by stints at technology firm Nemetschek and most recently HC Starck, a Munich-based international metals firm.

He replaces Christian Herrmann, who joined K+S in 2002, going on to head up the IR department from 2005. Herrmann was named as CEO of American salt giant Morton Salt – part of the K+S group – in May this year. He moved with his family to the Chicago-based company in the summer.

A Morton Salt press release at the time said: ‘Herrmann had an integral part in shaping K+S’ reputation and perception among international investors and analysts.’

K+S acquired Morton Salt in October 2009 in a $1.675 bn deal, making the firm a ‘North American and global leader in salt’ with a production capacity of approximately 30 mn tons.
