Petrobras names Eduardo De Nardi Ros as executive manager of IR

New head of IR says digital communications becoming more important

Petrobras, the Brazilian state-owned energy company, has named Eduardo De Nardi Ros as its new executive manager of IR.

Most recently, Ros was executive manager of Petrobras’ business performance area, according to a company statement.

He ‘played a leading role in the corporate turnaround that reduced the company’s indebtedness in recent years, implementing an agenda of value creation, resilience and capital allocation,’ it says.

Petrobras adds that Ros has ‘extensive experience in financial planning & analysis and in economic and performance-evaluation processes’ at the business.

Ros originally joined the oil and gas giant in 2013. He holds a degree in economics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, along with a masters in economics from the University of São Paulo.

‘Very excited’

Speaking to IR Magazine, Eduardo De Nardi Ros says he is ‘very excited to join the Petrobras IR team’ and looks forward to bringing his ‘understanding of the company's performance and strategic vision’ to the new role.

He says the IR program will focus on explaining the company's 'strategy and investment thesis of profitable growth and a competitive shareholder distribution'. He adds that the IR function has to evolve through the use of digital communications.

‘It is important to follow what investors want to see, like interactive content for annual reports, ESG disclosures and making the investor website as equally engaging as customer-facing sites,’ he says.

The new head of IR takes over from Carla Albano Miller, who has run the department since 2019. In the statement, the company thanks her for ‘her leadership, dedication and valuable contribution’ and ‘wishes her success in her new challenges’.
