People moves: Thomas Kudsk Larsen becomes head of IR at Sanofi

Other moves this week come at ISS and Viking

Thomas Kudsk Larsen has been appointed head of IR at France-based healthcare company Sanofi.

An experienced IR professional, Larsen has previously held senior roles at a string of healthcare businesses. Most recently, he was senior vice president and head of communication and IR at Sobi. Prior to that, he was head of IR at AstraZeneca and head of IR for North America at Roche.

Earlier this year, Larsen wrote for IR Magazine about the value of staying in the IR industry over the long term. ‘IR has become my career of choice, with a clear conviction that this is a proper career, not a rotational job and not a stepping stone climbing the corporate ladder,’ he said.

In other people moves, Michael Vitfell-Rasmussen has been named as head of group IR at ISS, the facilities management company headquartered in Denmark, with the position starting on August 1.

Vitfell-Rasmussen joins from Danske Bank, where he worked as an equity analyst. He has also held equity research positions at ABG Sundal Collier, SEB Enskilda and Gudme Raaschou.

‘ISS is on an exciting journey, having developed into a value-creating enterprise over the past few years,’ says Mads Holm, group CFO of ISS, in a statement. ‘With Michael’s extensive knowledge of the equity market, I am confident he will contribute greatly to strengthening this narrative with our key stakeholders.’

Elsewhere, NYSE-listed cruise line Viking has appointed Carola Mengolini as its new vice president of IR.

Most recently, she was vice president of IR at office furniture company MillerKnoll. Prior to that, Mengolini spent nearly 15 years at The Royal Caribbean Group, where she worked in a variety of finance roles before joining the IR department.

‘We are pleased to welcome Carola to our extended leadership team,’ says Leah Talactac, CFO of Viking, in a statement. ‘Her wealth of experience, as well as her deep knowledge of the cruise industry, will be an important asset to Viking.’
