Ben Ashwell is the editor at IR Magazine and Corporate Secretary, covering investor relations, governance, risk and compliance. Prior to this, he was the founder and editor of Executive Talent, the global quarterly magazine from the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants. Before moving to the US, Ben was the vice president and editor at Executive Grapevine, overseeing a daily news website, ten annual supplements and HR Grapevine, the UK’s leading HR and talent management magazine. In his spare time, Ben writes fiction, poetry and arts and culture reviews. Eyewear Publishing recently named him in their list of the Best New British and Irish Poets.
Karen King, SVP corporate affairs & investor relations, Alcon
Karen King is the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs
and Investor Relations for Alcon and is a member of the Alcon Foundation and Alcon Cares boards. In her current role, Ms. King is responsible for shaping and sharing the Alcon story with internal and external stakeholders. She oversees the story strategy and narrative through news and social media efforts, product launch campaigns, employee engagement initiatives, and investor education about Alcon’s enterprise value proposition. Ms. King is also responsible for developing Alcon’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy and the company’s philanthropy programs to build capacity in eye health around the world.
Prior to joining Alcon, Ms. King served as Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications for LivaNova, a global medical technology company focused on cardiac surgery and neurolomodulation devices. She also held roles at Hospira in the capacity of Corporate Vice President, Investor Relations, where she was responsible for developing and evolving the corporate story through a multi-year transformation, and Vice President, Investor Relations at Career Education Corporation.
Ms. King holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Indiana University and completed the Post-Baccalaureate Life Sciences program at Loyola University.
John Nunziati, investor relations partner, Q4
John Nunziati is an Investor Relations Partner at Q4. He has spent much of his career in Investor Relations and also has broad financial and operational experience at a number of Silicon Valley technology firms. Most recently, he managed Corporate Relationships at IEX, the Investors Exchange. He is active in NIRI and currently serves on the board of directors for the Virtual chapter as President-Elect.
