Sales enablement platform Seismic has named Evan Goldstein, most recently senior vice president of IR at Salesforce, as its new CFO.
Goldstein spent 11 years at Salesforce working in senior IR and finance roles. Before taking over IR, he held leadership positions in global corporate finance, planning and strategy.
Prior to Salesforce, Goldstein worked for 10 years at biotechnology company Genentech, where his responsibilities included financial planning & analysis, project finance and controlling. He holds an MBA from Haas School of Business, part of the University of California.
‘Today I'm proud to welcome an exceptional leader to Seismic’s ranks,’ says Doug Winter, Seismic’s CEO and co-founder, in a statement.
‘Hiring Evan is another strategic move to propel our growth and increase our momentum as the frontrunner of our industry. With rich experience in cultivating relationships with shareholders and financial analysts, he understands how to share a company’s financial story and strategic vision [in a way] that resonates with the public markets.’
In August 2021, Seismic raised $170 mn, valuing the private company at $3 bn, although tech valuations have taken a sizable hit since last summer.
‘Seismic is leading the charge in the enablement space, and I’m honored to join such an incredible, high-growth organization,’ adds Goldstein.
‘Empowering businesses to excel in their financial wellbeing is my passion, and I can’t wait to help Seismic grow to the next level.’
