Danielle Chesebrough, Senior Analyst, Investor Relations with UNGC, Policy & Research
Danielle Chesebrough started working in her dual role with the Principles for Responsible Investment and UN Global Compact in May 2011. She facilitates collaboration between corporates and investors, mainly focusing on improving communication on long-term value creation. She also is a co-organizer of the Sustainable Stock Exchanges initiative, which now has 75 partner stock exchanges of which Nasdaq was a founding member. By bringing together different perspectives, both the PRI and UN Global Compact believe we can create more sustainable capital markets, which will also play a critical role in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Previously, Danielle worked on the ESG research and client services teams at MSCI. Danielle has a B.A. in Political Science from Clemson University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work, with a focus on Policy and International Studies, from the University of Connecticut. 
 
Laurie Havelock, eeditor-at-large, IR Magazine
Laurie Havelock is a freelance journalist, writer and podcaster who has been working on financial titles for more than 5 years, dabbling with commercial property finance, responsible investment and investor relations as his main areas of focus. Outside of that he also writes about music, with a predilection for independent and emerging artists, has worked on a number of comedy projects, including a podcast he makes with musical comedian Paddy Gervers called Podshambles, and hosts a weekly show on Shoreditch Radio. Laurie has been published in the Independent, the Guardian and Q Magazine.
 
Foli Pontillo, Global Head of Perception Research, Nasdaq
Foli Pontillo has been working in IR advisory services for nearly 15 years. As Global Head of Perception, Foli oversees Nasdaq’s perception practice, managing a globally dispersed team and a diverse cross-section of corporate clients. The practice has been featured in publications by IR Magazine, CNBC, and at select NIRI chapter events. Previously, at Thomson Reuters, Foli served in a senior strategic role focused on enhancing the IR Advisory customer experience through process reengineering, employee recruitment and training, knowledge share, and cross-regional collaboration.  Prior to that, also at Thomson Reuters, Foli oversaw a team of capital markets analysts providing institutional ownership intelligence and industry insights to companies within the healthcare universe. Foli received a B.A. in Economics from Boston University, with a minor in Business Administration from the BU School of Management.
 
Daniel Romito, Global Head of Investor Analytics, Nasdaq
As the Global Head of Investor Analytics, Dan Romito’s responsibilities include overseeing Nasdaq’s Strategic Capital Intelligence team, Insight360 Analytics Platform, ESG/Index consulting and managing a global roster of advisory clients. His advisory work focuses on consulting management teams across the globe on optimizing capital allocation strategies, mitigating risk within their shareholder base and identifying opportunistic investors. His thought leadership articles on Activism, ESG and Index Investing has also been featured in a variety of periodicals, including Harvard Business Review, CNBC, Global Investor Magazine and IR Magazine. He received a BA from the University of Chicago, an MBA in Finance from DePaul University, is a Level 3 CFA Candidate, an adjunct professor of Finance at the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Applied Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago.
