Megawide, PTT and Manulife US REIT nominated for IR Magazine Awards – South East Asia 2022

Short lists for IR awards announced

Megawide, PTT and Manulife US REIT are among the nominees for the IR Magazine Awards – South East Asia 2022 but the field is wide open with excellence in IR short-listed at companies across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Megawide Construction Corporation, a leading engineering and infrastructure firm in the Philippines, is nominated for best overall investor relations (small cap), best investor relations officer (small cap), best IR in the industrials sector and best annual report (small cap).

IR Magazine Awards – South East Asia 2022PTT, the Thai state-owned Stock Exchange of Thailand-listed oil and gas company, is vying for best overall investor relations (large cap) and best investor relations officer (large cap).

Manulife US REIT, a Singapore-listed REIT investing in a portfolio of office real estate in the US, is also competing for best overall investor relations (small cap), best investor relations officer (small cap) and best IR if the financials (including real estate) sector.

Among the many notable names in the running are B Grimm Power, Global Power Synergy, Mega First Corporation, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation, Singapore Telecommunications, StarHub and Vietnam International Bank.

The IR Magazine Awards – South East Asia will take place virtually on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.

The awards are divided into two sections. The awards-by-research categories are decided by a survey of hundreds of portfolio managers, buy-side analysts and sell-side analysts covering companies in South East Asia. Prizes include best overall IR, best IR officer and best IR by a senior management team.

The awards-by-nomination categories see companies in the region send in entries explaining their work in key areas of IR practice, such as ESG reporting, digital communications and investor events. Here, the winners are decided by a panel of judges.

For the 2022 awards, the panel of judges features:

  • James Beech, editor-in-chief, IR Magazine
  • Joshua Lee, director of asset management, Equinix
  • Prof Roy Ling, CEO and founder, FollowTrade
  • Vijay Natarajan, real estate and real estate investment trusts analyst, RHB Banking Group
  • Jeannie Ong, chief investor relations officer, MyRepublic
