Keir Gumbs, vice president, deputy general counsel and deputy corporate secretary, Uber Technologies
As Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, and Deputy Corporate Secretary, Keir leads a team of professionals who support Uber’s executive leadership team in partnership with Uber’s business in the areas of Payments, M&A, Finance, Real Estate and Commercial Transactions, Corporate Governance, Marketing, ESG, Capital Markets and related matters. Keir is responsible for overseeing Uber’s group-wide corporate governance practices and supporting Uber’s board of directors.

Prior to Uber, Keir was a Partner for nearly a decade at Covington & Burling, where he represented a cross-section of constituencies in securities and governance matters, including companies ranging in size from Fortune 50 companies to venture-backed firms, as well as public pension funds, hedge funds, faith-based investors and trade associations. 

Keir’s career includes six years of service with the SEC, where, immediately prior to joining Covington & Burling in 2005, he served as Counsel to SEC Commissioner Roel C. Campos. In that position, Keir advised the Commissioner on a variety of matters arising under federal securities law with an emphasis on corporate finance issues under the Securities Act of 1933, issuer reporting obligations under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, corporate governance developments and SEC enforcement actions. Prior to serving as Counsel to Commissioner Campos, Keir spent five years as a staff attorney and later a Special Counsel in the Office of Chief Counsel in the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance.

Laurie Havelock, editor-at-large, IR Magazine
Laurie Havelock is a journalist, writer and podcaster who has worked with IR Magazine for almost a decade. Outside of writing about investor relations, corporate governance and green finance, he also works for the i newspaper as a news editor and culture writer. Away from writing, he works on several comedy podcasts including Podshambles and Idle Fantasy and was formerly a radio DJ, and hosted a weekly show on Shoreditch Radio called What’s Your Plan B? He lives in London with Mischa, his dog.

Bea leads an integrated team across communications, sustainability and strategic partnerships to support the company’s new growth model and purpose to refresh the world and make a difference. In this role, Bea aligns a diverse portfolio of work against critical business objectives to support brands, communities, consumers and partners worldwide. Bea also leads strategic and operational efforts for the company’s Retail, Licensing and Attractions portfolio of assets.

Since 2011, Bea served as The Coca-Cola Company’s first Chief Sustainability Officer, where she developed and led progress against comprehensive global sustainability commitments with a focus on water stewardship and women’s economic empowerment. She advanced a global sustainability strategy designed to help grow the business while making a lasting positive difference for consumers, communities and the environment.

Prior to leading the company’s sustainability efforts, Bea served as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Coca-Cola North America, where she built brands by developing some of the company’s most historic relationships, including American Idol and NASCAR. She began her career at The Coca-Cola Company in 1996 and held various roles in brand management and field operations before becoming CMO.

Among Bea’s recognitions are membership in the American Advertising Hall of Achievement and the Sports Business Journal’s Hall of Fame. The Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) named Bea to its 50 Most Powerful Latinas ranking in 2017, 2018 and 2019. She has been recognized as a “Conservation Trailblazer” by The Trust for Public Land, and PRovoke (previously The Holmes Report) has listed Bea as a member of the Influence 100 for communicators since 2017. She was on Hispanic Executive magazine’s list of Top 10 Leaders, and she was featured as one of the “25 Most Powerful Latinas” on CNN and in People en Español. In 2020, Bea was inducted into PRWeek Hall of Fame. 

Bea is a strong advocate for community service, serving on various boards including The Coca-Cola Foundation, the company’s global philanthropic arm. She also serves on the corporate boards for Primerica and Grainger. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland.

Brian is Head of ESG Business Development NFC, Americas, at S&P Global.

Brian is responsible for helping corporations quantify and value environmental performance of their operations and supply chains to meet investor expectations and procurement needs. He speaks frequently at industry events on sustainability reporting, supply chains, carbon pricing, UN Sustainable Development Goals, TCFD, integrated value assessments, and natural capital.

Prior to joining Trucost, Brian spent over 15 years in the advertising industry, specializing in healthcare, retail, and consumer packaged goods as a Media Director at Razorfish and CMI and as a Senior Account Executive at AOL. 

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Delaware in Business Administration (Marketing), a Master of Environmental Studies (Sustainability) from the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from Villanova University.
