Broadridge launches educational microsite for Canadian market

The company says Charting the Course will aid the exchange of information between issuers, regulators and investors

Broadridge’s Canada business has launched a new educational site for public companies called Charting the Course.

The site includes regulatory information from Canada and the US, contributions from industry experts, proxy statistics and industry news, according to Broadridge.

‘This site is intended to provide a platform for the exchange of balanced, informed and relevant information between corporate issuers, regulators and investor groups,’ says Patricia Rosch, president of investor communication solutions, Canada, at Broadridge, in a statement.

The site launch comes as regulators in Canada and the US conduct reviews of their respective proxy systems.

‘We believe that any review of the proxy system must be conducted based on a solid foundation of factual and balanced information,’ says Rosch in the statement.

‘We are very excited that the Charting the Course website will extend access to critical quantitative data. This is the best way to understand the challenges that should be addressed and opportunities to enhance the existing process.’
