Standard Uranium appoints vice president of IR

Company announced closure of public offering last week

Vancouver-based Standard Uranium has announced the appointment of Laurie Thomas as its vice president of investor relations.

The company announced last week that it had closed a C$3.4 mn ($2.6 mn) public offering, which the company will use to fund its Davidson River Project.

Thomas brings more than 15 years of investor relations experience to the company. She most recently served as the vice president of corporate relations at UEX Corporation. Prior to that she worked at Cameco Corporation for 10 years as manager of investor relations.

‘The addition of Laurie to our investor relations team is significant,’ says Jon Bey, CEO of Standard Uranium, in a press release. ‘Her extensive background in the uranium sector, as an investor relations and accounting professional, is unique and will be an immeasurable benefit in helping us be a leading Canadian uranium exploration company focused in the Athabasca Basin uranium district.’
