Brunswick Corporation names Brent Dahl as vice president of investor relations

Current senior director of IR moving to newly created role

Brunswick Corporation, a global manufacturer of marine products, has appointed Brent Dahl as its new vice president of investor relations.

Dahl joined Brunswick in 2002 and has held a number of senior finance positions. In his previous role, he was vice president of internal audit. He has also served as Brunswick’s assistant controller and controller of the bowling and billiards division.

There is an opening in the IR team as Al Marchetti, the current senior director of IR, is moving to a newly created position. He will become Brunswick’s senior director of special finance projects and finance modernization, where he will ‘drive financial process improvements and efficiencies enterprise-wide,’ according to a company statement.

‘Brent has done a fantastic job leading our internal audit team and has excelled in various financial leadership roles within Brunswick over the past 18 years,’ says Brunswick CFO Ryan Gwillim in the statement.

‘His depth of knowledge across all areas of our company and his comprehensive finance experience will be of great value as he continues working with investors and advancing our IR strategy.’

Gwillim himself is a former vice president of IR at Brunswick, a role he held between 2017 and 2019. Speaking to IR Magazine earlier this year, he said he viewed the IR department as a great place for rising stars in the company to spend time.

‘I would like someone in that chair who has significant upward mobility in the finance organization, as well as just the organization as a whole,’ he said.
