Short lists announced for IR Magazine Awards – US 2019

JPMorgan leads with five nominations, followed by CMS Energy, Danaher and Home Depot with four apiece

With just one month to go until the best and brightest of the US investor relations community gather in New York City for the IR Magazine Awards – US, the short lists have been announced.

JPMorgan Chase, which won two awards in 2017 and 2018, is the frontrunner with five nominations in total, including include best overall investor relations (large cap), best IR by a senior management team (large cap) and best investor meetings.

Past winner Danaher has four nominations, as has CMS Energy, whose director of investor relations, Phil McAndrews, was nominated for the lifetime achievement award last year. The Home Depot also has four nominations, while McDonald’s, NextEra Energy, Salesforce.com and Schlumberger all have three.

This year there are 21 awards by research and five awards by nomination. This is the second year we have offered awards by nomination, and they solicited even more entries than the inaugural year.

The research was conducted by an independent third party, while the winners of the awards by nomination were selected by our judging panel:

  • Valerie Haertel, experienced IR and corporate communications professional
  • Gary LaBranche, president & CEO, NIRI
  • Smooch Repovich Reynolds, managing partner of the investor relations and corporate communications practice, ZRG Partners.
