New IRO at Finland’s Fortum

Former equity sales specialist led IR at Outokumpu, Tokmanni and Eltel

Finnish utility firm Fortum has appointed Ingela Ulfves as vice president of IR and financial communications.

Ulfves, who will start her new job ‘in December 2017 at the latest’ according to a company release, joins from Stockholm-listed infrastructure services firm Eltel where she has been serving in a similar position for almost two years.

The Hanken School of Economics graduate started her career in equity sales at Carnegie’s Helsinki branch, moving into IR 12 years later at steel producer Outokumpu. Prior to joining Eltel, she also led IR at Finnish discount retailer Tokmanni Group.

‘Ingela is highly professional in investor relations and equity markets with years of experience in several listed companies. I wish Ingela warmly welcome to Fortum and to the energy sector’, comments Fortum CFO Markus Rauramo – to whom Ulfves will report – in the release.

Fortum is listed on Nasdaq OMX Helsinki and was named as a constituent of the CDP’s (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) Nordic Climate Disclosure Leadership Index.
