Jennifer Almquist, CPA, IRC, founder, Ivy Street Advisory
Jennifer Almquist has more than 19 years of experience in investor relations, external financial reporting, corporate finance and accounting.  In 2010, she founded Ivy Street Advisory, a Denver, Colorado based consulting firm specializing in investor relations, strategic communications, accounting and finance.  She previously served as Director of Investor Relations and SEC Reporting for Crocs, where she assisted the company during its 2009/2010 turnaround.  Prior to Crocs, Mrs. Almquist served in a variety of investor relations and SEC Reporting roles at various Colorado public companies, including StarTek, TeleTech, Coors and MacDermid, where she gained a well-rounded, comprehensive understanding of public financial disclosure, integrated external communications, and SEC and stock market regulation. 

Mrs. Almquist began her career as an auditor in the Denver office of Deloitte and Touche.  She is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Colorado, an Investor Relations Charter (IRC) holder and a member of National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), Financial Executives International, and the AICPA.  She currently serves on the IRC Examination Development Committee, previously served as Vice President and Communications Chair for NIRI’s Rocky Mountain Chapter from 2013 to 2017 and won the individual chapter leadership award from NIRI in 2016 in recognition of outstanding service to the chapter during her tenure. Mrs. Almquist earned a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Colorado. 

 

Michael Coffey, vice president, head of solutions engineering, Q4
Mike Coffey is Vice President, Head of Solutions Engineering at Q4Inc., where he leverages his stock surveillance and market intelligence expertise with Q4 clients and prospects.  Mike has been following the capital markets for well over 20 years.

Previously Mike has held titles including Director at Grabill-Bloom, Vice President at Thomson Financials’ Corporate Group, Managing Partner at Bloom Partners, Managing Director of NASDAQ’s Corporate Services Group and Managing Partner at Oxford Intelligence Partners. Mike began his career at Northern Trust Bank where he was a team leader for the Asset Analysis group.
 

Laurie Havelock, editor-at-large, IR Magazine
Laurie Havelock is a journalist, writer and podcaster who has been working on financial titles for more than 5 years, dabbling with commercial property finance, responsible investment and investor relations as his main areas of focus. Outside of that he also writes about music, with a predilection for independent and emerging artists, has worked on a number of comedy projects, including a podcast he makes with musical comedian Paddy Gervers called Podshambles, and hosts a weekly show on Shoreditch Radio. Laurie has been published in the Independent, the Guardian and Q Magazine.

 

Kirst Kuipers, managing director and head of iShares Netherlands, BlackRock
Kirst Kuipers, Managing Director, head of iShares Netherlands. Mr Kuipers oversees BlackRock’s iShares Netherlands business, focusing on maintaining and developing relationships with institutional investors and key distributors, alongside managing the iShares client team.

Prior to joining BlackRock Mr Kuipers worked at ING as Managing Director in commercial banking where he advised financial institutions. Before this was Head of ING Group Strategy and Head of ING Direct Corporate Development. Mr Kuipers managed large scale M&A projects and acted as lead negotiator on behalf of ING’s Executive Board. He also was a Regional Director within ING Private Banking.

From 2000 to 2004 Mr Kuipers led a wide range of client engagements at McKinsey & Company. Previously he was a strategist and sales advisor within the financial markets divisions of ABN AMRO and ING Barings, serving institutional investors in fixed income and derivative products. He started his career in 1993 in Atlanta as an intern with Rodamco, then the largest global REIT.

Mr Kuipers is a Certified European Financial Analyst. He studied at the UCLA, the College of Charleston and the University of Groningen and has cum laude master degrees in Economics and Business Administration.
