Geraldine Bakker-Grier, senior investor relations officer, NN Group

Geraldine joined NN Group, an international financial services company based in the Netherlands, shortly before the IPO in 2014. During her time at NN, Geraldine has been part of the team responsible for building the IR function, managing both equity and debt IR activities for the Group and group companies, and conducting IR during a major acquisition.

 

Originally from Scotland, Geraldine has been living in the Netherlands since 1991 and prior to joining NN Group was Investor Relations Manager at Van Lanschot Kempen, a Dutch private bank, for over 8 years. Prior to that she worked at several Big-Four audit firms in Scotland and the Netherlands.

 

Geraldine is a chartered accountant and holds an honours degree in Accountancy and Computer Science from the University of Stirling.

 

Laurie Havelock, editor-at-large, IR Magazine

Laurie Havelock is a freelance journalist, writer and podcaster who has been working on financial titles for more than 5 years, dabbling with commercial property finance, responsible investment and investor relations as his main areas of focus. Outside of that he also writes about music, with a predilection for independent and emerging artists, has worked on a number of comedy projects, including a podcast he makes with musical comedian Paddy Gervers called Podshambles, and hosts a weekly show on Shoreditch Radio. Laurie has been published in the Independent, the Guardian and Q Magazine.

 

Gabrielle Rabinovich, head of investor relations, Paypal

Gabrielle is Senior Director of Investor Relations at PayPal. Previously, Gabrielle was Vice President, Investor Relations for Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Prior to joining Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in 2012, Gabrielle was a Vice President in AlixPartners’ Financial Advisory Services practice. Before joining AlixPartners, Gabrielle spent more than seven years in investment banking, most recently as an Associate in the Los Angeles office of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Gabrielle is a Member of the State Bar of California.

Gabrielle has a JD from UCLA School of Law; MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management; B.S. from New York University and has served on the board of the NIRI San Francisco Chapter since 2014.

 

Joe Racanelli, director, investor relations and communications, Sherritt International Corporation

Joe Racanelli is Director of Investor Relations with Sherritt International, the world leader in the mining and refining of nickel and cobalt from lateritic ores.

 

He has more than 20 years of investor relations, marketing and corporate communications experience.  Prior to joining Sherritt, he led the Resources, Commodities and Industrials Practice of Canada’s largest capital markets advisory firm, NATIONAL Equicom, providing strategic capital markets counsel to senior management at assorted small and mid-cap companies.

Over the years, Joe has led the communication efforts for complex financial transactions valued at more than $3 billion, helped five companies go public, scheduled more than 500 road show meetings and established strong relations with buy-side and sell-side contacts around the world.   He is a frequent speaker on IR issues and topics.

 

Joe is a graduate of the University of Toronto and Concordia University.

 

Amit Sanghvi, managing director, Europe, Q4

As the Managing Director for Europe, Amit leads the overall growth strategy and brand vision for Q4’s European subsidiary. Prior to joining Q4 in 2017, Amit owned and operated CapMark Clarity (acquired by Q4 in 2017), a company that built a self-learning shareholder data processing system. He has also led the analytics team and managed the development of the IR platform for Sydney-based First Advisers. Amit‘s past and present clients include companies listed in the ASX 100, AEX 25, CAC 40, DAX 30, JSE 40, OMX Nordic 40 and SMI 20. Amit’s passion for helping blue chip companies achieve excellence in IR is matched only by his passion for sustainability and the Liverpool football club.
