Libby Bernick is Managing Director and Global Head of Trucost Corporate Business at S&P Global. Libby is responsible for new product development, research and sales activities for Trucost corporate programs globally, including impact analysis of bonds and company Sustainability/ESG disclosure to investors. She has worked for over 25 years integrating environmental and sustainability data into business decision-making, and has been a strategic advisor to investors, development banks, and global multinational corporations on the financial implications of ESG issues. Global initiatives she has led have spanned a range of topics, in particular climate risk, water risk, sustainable development goals, and sustainable plastic use. Libby is a regular speaker at international industry events and frequent commentator in the media on corporate sustainability and ESG disclosure issues.
Steve Lippman, ESG engagement director, Microsoft
Steve Lippman serves in the newly created position of ESG Engagement Director within Microsoft’s Office of the Corporate Secretary. Working closely with the Investor Relations team, Steve works to provide investors a full pictures of Microsoft’s ESG policies, practices, and performance. Overall, Steve has 20 years of experience addressing environmental and corporate social responsibility issues for a broad set of companies and non-governmental organizations. Steve has worked to advance responsible business strategies at Microsoft for over a decade on topics ranging from environmental sustainability, responsible sourcing, human rights, and transparency. Prior to joining Microsoft, Steve spent five years as vice president of social research and advocacy at Trillium Asset Management, a pioneer in socially responsible investing. Previously, Steve spent four years in the Environment Program at Business for Social Responsibility, a global business membership organization that helps companies implement socially responsible business practices. Steve holds a B.A. from Stanford University and an M.S. in natural resource and environmental policy from the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources and Environment.
