The awards in 2020 will be held virtually using an innovative online platform. Attendees can look forward to video interviews with winners, live competitions, networking opportunities and a total of 25 awards handed out to the region’s best IR performers.

The awards are spread across two different categories. The awards-by-research categories are decided by a survey of hundreds of portfolio managers, buy-side analysts and sell-side analysts who cover companies in South East Asia. Voters are asked to name the best companies and IR professionals for their overall investor relations work.

The awards-by-nomination categories allow companies to submit entries about themselves on specific topics. The submissions are then reviewed by a panel of judges who select the short lists and eventual winners.

In this section, the categories are best annual report, best crisis management, best ESG materiality reporting, best investor event, best IR during a corporate transaction, best IR website and best use of multimedia for IR.

This year, the judging panel features:
– Tim Human, senior reporter, IR Magazine
– Professor Roy Ling, managing director, RL Capital Management
– Vijay Natarajan, real estate and Reits analyst
– Jeannie Ong, executive IR adviser
– Harold Woo, president, Investor Relations Professionals Association (Singapore).
