TVI Pacific brings in new vice president of investor and corporate relations

Steven Feldman joins South East Asia-focused mining company

Steven Feldman has been appointed by TVI Pacific, a Canadian mining firm focusing on gold, silver, copper and zinc projects in the Philippines, to serve as its new vice president of investor and corporate relations.

A seasoned IR professional specializing in the mining sector, Feldman previously worked as an independent consultant. Prior to this, he spent seven years at SouthGobi Resources, a Vancouver-headquartered miner with assets in Mongolia and reportedly the largest foreign coal operator in the country.

During Feldman’s tenure as an IR manager covering the North American market, SouthGobi, which is dual-listed in Toronto and Hong Kong, saw its market cap grow from $20 mn to more than $3 bn.

Commenting on the hire in a company press release, chairman and CEO Clifford James says: ‘Steven brings experience and intensity to his new position at TVI. We look forward to him playing an important role in communicating our current operations and growth initiatives to expand and contribute to shareholder value as a diversified mining company focused on South East Asia. This is truly an exciting time for TVI as we advance our Balabag gold-silver project toward production in 2014 and forge ahead with our Mindoro joint venture projects that represent near and mid-term cash flow opportunities.’

TVI Pacific, which is listed on Toronto Stock Exchange, posted $77.1 mn in revenue for 2012, down from $83.3 mn the previous year, and $5.3 mn in net income, up from $3.4 mn.
