Tutor Perini creates new IR department

Seasoned construction professional hired by large US general contractor to increase market visibility

Tutor Perini, a large US building construction company, has created a new IR department and appointed Jorge Casado as director of investor relations.

He joins from Tetra Tech, a California-based construction management, environmental and engineering services provider, where he had been working for the past 21 years.

Casado graduated from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1991, joining Tetra Tech that same year as a project manager for its environmental consultancy. In 2000 he was promoted to senior project manager.

Between 2002 and 2005 he studied for an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, at the end of which he joined Tetra Tech’s investor relations department to serve as vice president. In 2011 he moved on to be vice president and business unit controller.

Casado’s solid experience of the construction sector as well as his knowledge of investor relations will help him to build a comprehensive IR program for NYSE-listed Tutor Perini, which is currently seeking to increase its visibility within the investment community.
