EagleBank names IR lead in newly created role

David Danielson joins as director of investor relations and strategy

Bethesda, Maryland-headquartered EagleBank has named banking expert David Danielson as its new IR head.

Danielson joins the bank, which operates 20 offices located in suburban Maryland, Washington, DC and northern Virginia, from Janney Montgomery Scott and reports directly to Charles Levingston, executive vice president and CFO.

The role is a new one for EagleBank as it looks to ‘strengthen investor relations and shareholder communications,’ according to a statement welcoming Danielson to the bank. His new position will see him lead a strategy ‘managing all aspects of investor relations and communications between the bank, key shareholders and the financial community,’ says EagleBank.

Levingston comments: ‘With strong communication skills, key market insights, strong investor community relationships and more than 20 years’ experience in finance working directly with bank CEOs, CFOs and boards of directors, Dave will be a valuable resource for our stakeholders.’

EagleBank says Danielson, who holds a BA in economics from Clark University and an MBA from Northeastern University, has provided advisory services to community banks throughout his career – advising on ‘more than 100 whole bank mergers and acquisitions, branch purchase and sale transactions, valuations of stock and new bank formations.’
