Calling all Global Top 50 companies to the Global IR Forum, New York City, November 18-20

Global IR Forum announces speakers and agenda - IR Magazine and NIRI invite investor relations professionals from around the world to summit in New York

PRESS RELEASE -- NEW YORK, Oct. 7, 2013 / -- IR Magazine and the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) are staging their first global investor relations education and networking event, the Global IR Forum. FedEx, Philip Morris, PetroChina and Covidien are a few of the high-profile companies scheduled to speak at the event November 18-20, when IR professionals from around the world will converge in New York City to meet and learn from their peers.

The agenda for the three-day event kicks off with an evening reception on November 18, featuring a fireside chat with a seasoned roadshow warrior. On November 19 the program will discuss the global economic outlook, best practices for running an international IR program, current buy-side trends, and guidelines for stationing IROs overseas. In a unique IR leaders' summit, the heads of IR organizations, including from the US, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Russia and Spain, will chart the growth and professionalization of IR.

To cap the first full day on November 19, the Global Top 50 Awards honor the world's best investor relations teams ranked in the first ever Global Top 50, in partnership with BNY Mellon.

Heather McGregorNovember 20 sees the conclusion of the Global IR Forum with sessions on new technology and how to work with the sell side. Top-flight international recruiter Heather McGregor - also known as Mrs. Moneypenny, writer, performer, TV personality and weekly FT columnist - will regale Forum attendees before a closing networking lunch.

'This will be a seminal event for the investor relations community globally,' said Christopher Kearns, chief executive officer, depositary receipts, BNY Mellon.
