German chemicals company is named best in Europe for IR once again at the IR Magazine Europe Awards
For the second year running, BASF has been crowned the best large-cap company for investor relations in Europe at the IR Magazine Europe Awards.
Last night at the London Hilton, the German chemicals company picked up six awards including the grand prix for best overall IR by a large cap and best investor relations officer at a large cap for Magdalena Moll.
The winners and nominees were voted for by 731 investors and analysts from 21 different countries, in a process managed by IR magazine’s research arm, XbInsight.
The research behind the awards is contained in the Investor Perception Study, Europe 2011, which includes comprehensive information about the Euro Top 100 (the top 100 performing companies for IR in Europe), verbatim comments from investors and analysts, and detailed interviews with the best-performing IR practitioners.
Lanxess, another German chemicals company, took home the grand prix for best overall IR in the mid-cap category.
Great Portland Estates, a UK property company, won the grand prix for best overall IR in the small-cap segment.
Around 450 members of the IR community attended the event on Park Lane in London, where guests enjoyed a Champagne reception and dinner before the awards were announced. The event was hosted by comedian Sandi Toksvig.
