Antares Pharma appoints new vice president of IR

Tram Bui succeeds Jack Howarth, who retires at the end of the month

Antares Pharma has appointed Tram Bui as its new vice president of corporate communications and investor relations.

Bui reports into Fred Powell, the company’s chief financial officer, and succeeds Jack Howarth, who is scheduled to retire on August 31. Howarth has served as the vice president of corporate affairs since 2012.

Bui has spent her recent career working at investor relations and communications advisory firms, including The Ruth Group and KCSA Strategic Communications. At both firms she has focused on healthcare and life sciences.

She has also worked as a buy-side healthcare analyst for a small-cap fund at Lazard Asset Management and as an institutional equity sales associate at CJS Securities.

In a press release, Powell says he is ‘excited’ to work with Bui: ‘We look forward to leveraging her extensive industry experience and strong relationships with the investment community as the company continues on its growth trajectory.’

Powell also recognizes Howarth’s ‘dedication and many contributions to the company.’ He continues: ‘He has been instrumental to the development of the company’s communications strategy and we wish him the best of luck in his retirement.’
