Albemarle names Crenshaw as new IRO

Post became vacant after former vice president of IR moved on to enterprise risk management role

Albemarle, the NYSE-listed producer of specialty chemicals, has promoted Lorin Crenshaw to the role of director of investor relations and communications.

Crenshaw joined Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based Albemarle in 2009 as an assistant treasurer.

Before joining Albemarle, Crenshaw worked as an international treasury manager at Rohm & Haas, the specialty materials manufacturer.

Prior to this, he spent 11 years on Wall Street.

‘Having worked as an investment professional, Lorin brings a unique perspective to our team,’ comments Scott Tozier, Albemarle’s CFO, in a statement.

‘This experience, coupled with his strong corporate finance background and understanding of our markets, will further enhance our relationships with valued stakeholders.’

The post became vacant after Albemarle’s former vice president of IR and communications, Sandra Rodriguez, moved to a new position where she leads the company’s enterprise risk management program.

In this role, Rodriguez will run Albemarle’s internal audit, SOX and insurance functions.
