Cameron Tough, Adaro Energy’s Canadian head of investor relations, discusses the difficulties of bridging cultural barriers in order to reach shareholders at the IR Magazine South East Asia Conference & Awards 2009. Adaro, like many Indonesian companies, has large international shareholders. Tough views it as the job of the IRO to help facilitate communication between management and investors and vice versa.
Adaro Energy is Indonesia’s second-largest thermal coal producer. Along with its subsidiaries it currently deals in coal mining and trade, coal infrastructure and logistics, and mining contractor services.
