UK & Ireland Conference: Unilever to give talk on best practice sustainability communications

Session part of full-day IR conference taking place at London Stock Exchange on October 27

Wondering how to kick-start your sustainability communications? Or maybe you already have an ESG communications program but want to take it to the next level?

IR professionals will have the chance to learn from a leader in the field when Andrew Stephen, head of IR at Unilever, delivers a talk on best practice sustainability communications at the IR Magazine Conference ‒ UK & Ireland on October 27, 2016.

Unilever has received widespread praise for its sustainability program. Among its many awards, the consumer goods giant won best sustainability practice at the IR Magazine Awards – Europe 2016, which is voted for by investors and sell-side analysts.

‘Many companies are clear about the future but Unilever goes that bit further and inspires belief,’ said one voter, a member of the sell side based in Switzerland.

The talk will cover areas including:
• Communicating long-term stability ‒ how to take the focus away from short-term fluctuations
• Integrating ESG into established IR programs and coping with the surge in investor interest
• Telling your ESG story ‒ building your knowledge base and responding efficiently to questions
• Applying standard IR disciplines such as investor analysis, targeting and communications to sustainability and corporate governance issues
• Focusing on key issues that are material to the business and have the potential to affect long-term value creation.

The session forms part of IR Magazine’s new UK & Ireland Conference, held in association with ELITE Connect. To read the full agenda or register to attend, please click here.
