Henkel IRO moves to Schaeffler

Renata Casaro named as German industrial group's new head of IR

Schaeffler, a Frankfurt-listed automotive, aerospace and industrial supplier, has announced the appointment of Renata Casaro as head of IR, reporting to CEO Klaus Rosenfeld.

An economics graduate of the University of Trieste, Casaro started her career in the research and development department of French futures exchange Matif (now part of Euronext), followed by three years of investment banking in London. In 1997 she joined the corporate finance team at BVLGARI (now part of LVMH) and was promoted to head of IR in 2000.

Casaro, who will join Herzogenaurach-headquartered Schaeffler in October, has been leading the IR department at chemical and consumer goods major Henkel since 2011, where she is credited for ‘shaping the equity story across several strategy cycles and various acquisitions.’

‘We are delighted to welcome Mrs Casaro to the Schaeffler Group,’ comments Rosenfeld in a press release. ‘She has an exceptional understanding of the capital markets business and is one of the most high-profile experts when it comes to listed family-owned companies. We are confident she will successfully further develop the investor relations department of the Schaeffler Group and will improve the global positioning of the Schaeffler share.’

In her future role, Casaro will head a new stand-alone team spun off from the current communications, marketing and IR division. IRO Christoph Beumelburg, who set up the IR function in 2010, will take over as head of the communications and marketing department.
