Cedric Burgher returns to CFO role at Occidental

New CFO moves from IR position at EOG Resources

Cedric Burgher has swapped his IR role at EOG Resources for the top finance job at Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Oxy). He joins the NYSE-listed oil and gas company after two and a half years at EOG as senior vice president of investor relations.

Burgher has worked for more than 25 years in finance roles across a wide variety of companies and industries. No stranger to the CFO role, he has headed up the finance function at three previous firms: QR Energy, KBR and Burger King Corporation. His IR experience, meanwhile, includes stints at Enron and Halliburton.

‘Cedric has tremendous financial leadership experience at some of our industry’s most respected firms and we look forward to his contributions at Occidental,’ says Vicki Hollub, president and CEO at Oxy.

Burgher, a chartered financial analyst, holds a bachelor of business administration from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Dallas.

To replace Burgher, EOG has promoted David Streit, an existing member of the IR team, to vice president of IR and PR.
