NYSE hires Ipreo’s Chris Taylor as vice president of listings

Former global head of IR services at Ipreo moves to Big Board

Chris Taylor, Ipreo’s executive vice president, is moving to the NYSE to become vice president, NYSE listings and listing services, IR Magazine can reveal.

In his new position, which starts in January, Taylor’s responsibilities will include leading day-to-day client management and developing the services NYSE offers to listed companies.

Most recently, Taylor was Ipreo’s executive vice president of global research, thought leadership and partnerships. The role, which he took up in 2016, involved crafting global thought leadership pieces and leading Ipreo’s relationships with third parties such as depositary banks and exchanges.

Prior to that, Taylor ran Ipreo’s global corporate investor relations business for eight years.

Taylor joined Ipreo, the market intelligence and IR services provider, in 2008 when it acquired his previous firm, CapitalBridge. Taylor had been at CapitalBridge for 15 years and at the time of the acquisition was lead managing director with responsibility for global operations.

Tom Farley, NYSE group president, comments: ‘Chris is highly respected in the industry and his credentials and deep understanding of the needs of listed companies will help us to continue to deliver on high service standards.’

Taylor spoke with IR Magazine at the 2016 NIRI annual conference where he discussed the increasing corporate governance responsibilities of investor relations professionals.
