AerCap announces new head of IR

Aircraft leasing company sees current IR chief step down

AerCap, the world’s largest aircraft leasing company, has announced that Brian Canniffe will be replacing John Wikoff as head of investor relations.

Wikoff, who is stepping down from the role, joined AerCap in November 2014 as head of investor relations and prior to that worked with AerCap over many years in a banking capacity in his role as head of transportation finance at Goldman Sachs.

Canniffe will be based at AerCap’s office in Dublin. He has over 20 years experience in banking, lending and capital markets. His most recent position was with Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong and Tokyo as managing director, Asia Pacific.

Wikoff will continue to work for AerCap as an advisor until the middle of 2017.

Keith Helming, chief financial officer at AerCap, says: ‘We thank John for the contribution he made in developing our investor relations platform and enhancing other areas of our organization for the past several years. He has been of great value to AerCap.’

On Brian Canniffe, Helming adds: ‘Brian’s experience in the financial markets will be a valuable addition to the AerCap team.’
