Hawaiian Airlines brings in new senior IR director

Expanding island airline promotes Ashlee Kishimoto to investor relations team

Hawaiian Airlines has appointed Ashlee Kishimoto to the IR department to work alongside Susan Donofrio out of the Honolulu office.

Kishimoto, a University of San Francisco accounting graduate who joined the company in 2009 and moved to her new role on March 1, most recently served as the firm’s director of SEC reporting and SOX compliance. Both Kishimoto and Donofrio report to Scott Topping, executive vice president and CFO at the airline, which is now in its 84th year of continuous service.

‘Already an important contributor to our investor relations activities, Ashlee’s knowledge of SEC reporting and her presence at our headquarters in Honolulu will add depth to our IR efforts,’ Topping says in a company statement.

The expanding airline, which was voted top domestic airline serving Hawaii by Conde Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure and Zagat, is set to add a number of new routes to its roster this year, including direct flights to Auckland, New Zealand, Sendai, Japan and Taipei, Taiwan. In addition to its international and US mainland services, Hawaiian also operates around 160 daily jet flights between the state’s islands – helping it set a new personal best with 9.48 mn passengers last year and giving the IR team a positive story to tell investors.
