Mixed picture for Asian companies on the road

Number of firms on the road rises, but number of roadshows held falls

While engagement in investor activities has increased at Asian companies, the overall level of activity has dropped, according to the IR Magazine Global Roadshow Report 2016.

The number of Asian companies going on the road has gone up this year to 92 percent from 85 percent in 2015, but the number of roadshows they go on has dropped to an average of 5.5 from 7.2 last year. Similarly, while almost all Asian companies attended an investor conference in the past 12 months, on average they have attended 1.6 fewer conferences than they did in 2015.

Site visits remain far more common in Asia than in other regions, with 80 percent of Asian companies hosting an average of 13.6 over the year. Just over a third of Asian company respondents think they will see an increase in roadshow activity over the next five years.

The report will be published at the end of November.
