New speakers confirmed for IR Magazine Conference – UK and Ireland

Head of investor relations at Rolls-Royce to speak on global changes and the IRO

The IR Magazine Conference – UK & Ireland 2016 has confirmed some new big-hitting speakers.

John Dawson, director and head of IR at Rolls-Royce, will speak on ‘Global economic changes and the IRO’; Clifford Samuel, chief counsel for corporate and securities at BAE Systems, will discuss ‘Three things IROs should know about the Market Abuse Regulations’; and Reg Hoare, managing director of MHP Communications, will speak about ‘Brexit: managing the impact of leaving the EU.'

Nor does the list does stop there. Laura Doyle, head of investor relations at Legal & General, has also joined the conference and will speak on ‘What to stop doing: Moving from what has always been done to what adds value’. Catherine Nash, director of investor relations at Royal Mail, will lead a discussion on ‘Effective IR and high-impact targeting with limited resources’. Stuart Leasor, senior adviser at EM Advisors, will add his voice to ‘Effective crisis management: the role of IR during a crisis’, and Michael Hufton, managing director of ingage, will discuss the ‘Efficient use of data to give new insight, prioritizing the team’s time’.

The conference, to be held this Thursday, October 27, is a one-day event at the London Stock Exchange exclusively for IROs based in the UK & Ireland. Topics up for discussion are key issues affecting IROs on a day-to-day basis.
