Changes at Niri
Niri's annual meeting in March saw changes to the board of directors at the US investor relations institution as four of its existing directors retired on completion of their four years service.
Those retiring included chairman Mickey Foster, currently vice president of IR at Hanson Industries but soon to take on a similar role for the new $3bn chemical company being created by the splitting of the Hanson group into four separately listed companies. The other three departing directors were Valoree Dowell, of Immunex; Michael Pritchard of Public Service Company of Colorado; and Scott Tagliarino of Edelman Worldwide.
Mickey Foster is succeeded as chairman by Brad Allen, senior director of Cray Research Corporation.
The four new members of the board are Tom Myers, director of IR at TRW in Cleveland; Ron Stovall, vice president, financial relations, and assistant treasurer at American Express; Karen Wharton, vice president, investor relations at FTP Software in Andover, Mass; and Harry Wren, assistant treasurer and director, corporate investor relations, at Sears, Roebuck in Illinois.
