Zimmer Biomet appoints Cole Lannum as head of IR

Award-winning IR professional joins from Mallinckrodt

Zimmer Biomet, the Indiana-based medical device company, has announced the appointment of Cole Lannum as senior vice president of IR.

Lannum joins Zimmer Biomet with more than 15 years’ IR experience in the healthcare industry and will report directly to the company’s president and CEO, Bryan Hanson.

Most recently, Lannum served as IRO and senior vice president of investor strategy at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, where he consulted with executive management and the board of directors regarding acquisitions, strategic direction and shareholder value optimization. Before joining Mallinckrodt in 2015, he led IR at Covidien and prior to that at Tyco Healthcare for nine years. As vice president and IRO, he designed Covidien’s IR program, oversaw the largest ever healthcare IPO and led the IR effort through the company’s merger with Medtronic in 2015.

Lannum’s IR and leadership credentials at Covidien and Mallinckrodt have been recognized with numerous honors, including an unprecedented five consecutive awards from IR Magazine.
