Albemarle appoints new IR and strategy chief

Eric Norris will succeed Matt Juneau, who is retiring

Specialty chemicals company Albemarle has appointed Eric Norris as chief strategy officer, with responsibility for both corporate strategy and investor relations.

Norris joined Albemarle on January 15. He succeeds Matt Juneau, Albemarle’s executive vice president of corporate strategy and investor relations, who will formally retire in March, according to the Charlotte, North Carolina-based firm. Juneau has worked at Albemarle and its predecessor, Ethyl Corporation, for 35 years.

Norris will also take Juneau’s seat on Albemarle’s nine-person leadership team, a company spokesperson confirmed. He joins Albemarle from FMC Corporation, where he spent 16 years in a variety of roles. He served as the company’s director of investor relations between 2002 and 2005, and was most recently president of the company’s $750 mn health and nutrition business. FMC Corporation’s health and nutrition business was sold to DuPont in 2017.

‘We look forward to the leadership and contributions [Eric’s] wealth of experience will bring to us,’ Albemarle’s president and CEO Luke Kissam says in a statement. He also thanks Juneau on behalf of the Albemarle board for his ‘many years of dedicated service.’
