Thor hires head of investor relations

Unfortunately, not 'that' Thor

The world’s largest manufacturer of recreational vehicles has named Bruce Byots as its new senior director of investor relations.

While Byots’ new firm might not have anything to do with the god of thunder, Thor Industries does manufacture some rather impressive recreational vehicles (RVs).

Byots, who brings with him 20 years of investor relations experience, comes most recently from Brunswick Corporation where he served as vice president of IR from 2008 to 2016, though he held a number of investor relations positions at the company from 1984 onwards.

‘Timely and accurate communications with the investment community are essential functions for our business,’ comments Colleen Zuhl, Thor CFO, in a press release welcoming Byots to the company. ‘Bruce’s experience and expertise in the investor relations community, and specifically the recreation industry space, positions him well to further enhance those critical communications and relationships.’

Some of the RVs manufactured by Elkhart, Indiana-headquartered Thor Industries include the iconic Airstream – the company was founded in 1980 via the purchase of Airstream – as well as the Cruiser RV and the many brands produced by Dutchmen.
