Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings promotes IR professionals

Andrea DeMarco will move into the chief sales and marketing officer role for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, while Jessica John will step into the vice president of investor relations, corporate communications and ESG role

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has announced that Andrea DeMarco, the firm's long-standing senior vice president of investor relations, corporate communications and ESG, has been promoted to take on the chief sales and marketing officer role for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, one of the company’s subsidiaries.

Jessica John will fill DeMarco’s role as vice president of investor relations, corporate communications and ESG. Both promotions will come into effect on September 1.

DeMarco has 20 years of experience in the cruise line industry. She joined Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings in 2012, and played an influential role in the company’s IPO in January 2013. During her nine years with the company, she has been promoted several times within the IR function.

‘Andrea successfully represented our company to Wall Street since our [IPO] and has developed a great successor in Jessica John, who played an instrumental role in many aspects of our Covid-19 pandemic response as well as the development of our company’s global ESG strategy,’ says Mark Kempa, executive vice president and CFO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, says in a company release.

‘I’m thrilled to congratulate Andrea and Jessica and I’m confident they will leverage their proven successes in their expanded leadership roles.’

Before joining the company in 2019, John spent eight years as a sell-side equity analyst with both Citi and Barclays.
